My name is Vicky and I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a senior trainer here at Naughty Boyz. My family consists of one husband, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. I am a member of the Pet Professional Guild and the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants with whom I am completing an upcoming Cat Behaviour Consultant Mentorship. I am currently volunteering with a local rescue’s animal shelter to support their behaviour cases. I am also an instructor for the NBDT Dog Trainer Academy.

I have over 10 years of experience in supporting dogs with a diverse range of behaviour concerns, from puppies who are simply learning about the world, to severe aggression and everything in between. I also have experience in working with a variety of animal species including cats, parrots, pigs, goats, horses, and more. I have piloted multiple training and enrichment programs through my past work with rescue organizations and since joining Naughty Boyz. My goal is to support dogs and their human guardians in living their best lives together, focusing on confidence and happiness through understanding and strengthening relationships. I believe very strongly in providing dogs with enrichment and agency and through these, we build a rock solid foundation to implement our behaviour modification training together. I have a special interest in the profound impact enrichment has on behaviour, extreme fear/shutdown behaviour, mild to severe dog - dog reactivity/aggression, and supporting safe and healthy dog - cat relationships.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an afterdegree in Education from the University of Alberta. I am an avid participant in professional development and continuing education and I am currently working to expand my area of expertise from dogs to include cats.
